Abstract The production of tyres is one the most energy consuming manufacturing activities in rubber sector. In cycle a tyre, curing operation has maximum loss. This mostly due to extensive use steam as source heat and pressure vulcanization process. To author’s knowledge, no scientific work available literature where efficiency tyre press estimated by means comprehensive model all main components, including moulds, with its heated plates, bladder and, course, tyre. present aims at filling this gap. First, used for developing described, along components typical product, bicycle instruments measuring flow rates, temperatures pressures are also listed. Then, numerical presented, that predicts transfers occurring during full process cycle. model, developed software Simcenter Amesim 2021.1, been validated measurements taken press. results indicate amount which actually consumed reticulation amounts less than 1% total expenditure. paper demonstrates industry urgent need an electrification conversion traditional steam-based processes.
